I went with my friends as we were craving Thai food nearby in the Bay area. The service was fast as our appetizers and food came out one by one. As for the inside, there was plenty of seating and the decorations were cute. Pineapple fried rice - It was good and flavorful! I really liked the texture of the rice with the pineapple. We had it with shrimp which added some savory taste to it. Pad see ew - The pad see ew was okay as it tasted a bit bland, and the noodles were not too chewy. It could be better with the flavor. Pad thai - The pad thai was good! It had a nice blend of sweet and savory taste to it. I really liked the texture of the noodles too. Pad kee mao - It was okay as I would have liked some more spice to it and did not taste as flavorful.

Back in the bay area so made our way to Foster City and to Sweet Basil as part of a trip down memory lane. It still delivers! It closes a bit easier than posted on Yelp. The last hour of the day is just for to go orders. But they were very accommodating and let us sit outside. Chicken satay. Green curry with chicken. Jasmine tea. All great. I'm surprised at how little their menu has changed. I first came here 20 years ago, when they were at a different location in the same strip center. Same menu then as now. And I love their menu as much now as I did 20 years ago. It's a testimony to how timeless and wonderful the food is that they don't have to change it to stay relevant and draw in the crowds. They do Thai right, and they do it consistently. Love this place!

The Pad Thai with pork was delicious and it came quite decorated with chives and flowers, giving it one of a kind appearance. Food was firely hot temperature wise and staff were friendly as I took a while to place my order. The ambiance is clean, casual and comfortable with ample of parking spaces out front.

Ordered the wings of love appetizer, pad see-ew, and pineapple fried rice. Food came out pretty quick and we were seated pretty quickly. Restaurant had some people in it but it wasn't packed. I liked their decor too, it's definitely an aesthetic place to take a picture. The pad see-ew was my favorite dish from here. I would definitely come back if I was back in the area.

TLDR: meat too dry, desserts and drinks the best, service is good Tom Yum Gai Soup: this was the first dish we got, a sour and spicy chicken tomato soup. It was really good. My sister mentioned how much she liked this one we both went for seconds. Chicken was mid, soup a little on the sour side. But I liked it, it had a really nice flavor Sweet basil: this is supposedly their signature dish. Doesnt say it on the menu but its literally named after the restaurant. Its chicken with peppers and veggies. I expected this to have rice but it didnt. None of the dishes on the menu comes with rice unless explicitly told (like fried rice). The waiter would ask you if you want rice with it when you order this. I think you still need to pay for the rice if yes. As for the dish, I didnt like it. Chicken was dry and flavorless. Some spice next to it. (Im not used to thai cuisine, cant believe this dish exists, i cant imagine it ever being good unless some more heavy seasoning or they use dark chicken instead of white) Pad Thai: I really love this one. Coming in, I thought its a basic dish and its just fried noodles. But the noodles are different from what im used to and its better. It exceeded my expectations. We ordered peanuts on the side instead of mixed in. For our plate at least, I felt all the meat fell to the side so I had to focus on picking up meat when scooping it. You also get a choice between chicken, pork, or beef, we chose beef. You have these choices for some other dishes on the menu as well. I dont like bean sprouts but it was fine in this dish. Beef didnt really stand out Satay Chicken skewers: this one was a disappointment. Tbh a running theme in this restaurant is all the meat seems to be on the dry side. And its very noticable in a dish all about meat. Peanut sauce didnt help either. Veggies were good. Skewers were just mid, not the best but not the worst. Thai and Lychee iced tea: cmae in tall glasses and tall straws with lots of ice. I'll speak for them at the same time cause their both drinks and I have similar opinions on them. I really loved em. Lychee was on the sweeter side I liked how they gave you 2 lychees on top. Sister mentioned they were canned lychee but I still liked them, they were chewy and juicy. Yeah lychee flavor rocks. I like how the Thai tea was less sweet and had a focus on the thai flavor. I liked both of them. If I were to pick one again, I'd do Thai cause lychee is a little too sweet. But both had a favorable flavor imo Crepe with ice cream: I only ever ate the crepes with ice cream in the same bite. It was good. The crepe was warm and crispy with the ice cream cool and soft texture. Also chocolate chips are deliciously crunchy, strawberries are nice, and I love those fake cherries give me more! When I ran out of crepe, I started eating the ice cream by itself and let me tell you, they taste better on their own. I wish I tried crepe by itself I wonder if itll taste better. I really liked the coconut ice cream, perfect temp and soft. Mango sticky rice: now this is what we've all been waiting for. Rice was warm, mango was slightly less warm. I only ever ate them together in the same bite as well. Rice was chewy and filling. Neither were too sweet. Dad liked the mangos. Idk, there was nothing too outstanding about this, it was good. Out of the desserts, my fav was the ice cream. You do have the option of ordering just ice cream for 4 bucks. All in all, my fav were pad thai, the drinks, and desserts Extra: Good service, the waiters werent too annoying while still being super quick when you call. Some dishes you can choose between chicken, pork, or beef They will give you a dessert menu when ur done Cute dessert plates Cute small square bowls for soup Spoons specific for soup and spoons for food One small plate on top of a bigger plate for each person Nature-y inside and outside. You get to sit outside the restaurant to eat. We chose inside, the bench was hard even my sister mentioned it. There is a big pillow behind the bench meant for leaning on. 5/5 really enjoyed the experience, I still think about it

This is the second time I've been here. My husband and his friend have come here for lunch several times before. The crispy spring roll is good. This time, however, we tried the shrimp roll appetizer and really liked it. My husband and friend ordered Thai iced tea. I ordered the coconut water last time and wasn't happy with it as It didn't taste like coconut water. So, I just had regular water this time around. We always order the duck fried rice. We also ordered the chicken vindaloo curry. All of the dishes were delicious and were just the right amount of food for the three of us. The service is good. Water is left at the table so you can refill your water glasses when needed. Parking is easy.

We stopped by for lunch on a weekday and was pleasantly surprised to find no wait. The culinary journey began with the satay chicken and wings of love appetizers, both of which set a high bar for the meal ahead. The crab fried rice was a delightful blend of flavors, while the Panang Curry with chicken stole the show with its rich and delicious taste. The ambiance exudes a casual vibe, providing a comfortable setting with a quiet noise level. Service was exemplary, with a friendly and courteous staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. And to top it off, free parking in the business plaza adds a convenient touch to the overall experience.
